Feet/Skates
Anti scratch, wear resistant 100% density PTFE feet.
Small mouse feet with rounded corners leading for consistent X & Y axis glides.
Mouse skates are the most underrated part of the mouse. You can buy the top technology-equipped mouse but if your glides are not consistent & smooth, the mouse will fail your expectations.
People cheap out on a few hundred bucks while buying a mouse but are later forced to purchase after-market skates because the stock ones suck.
We've thoughtfully added these feet, 99% sure you wouldn't want to switch.
Left side curved inwards for more controlled grip on thumb.
Extended right click for ring & little finger support to improve stability while moving & lifting the mouse.
Palm shaped hump that fits naturally in your hand like a glove.
Finger grooves for same spot finger placement every time.
Weight
& its reasoning
During testing, we often came across the topic of reducing weight to subpar 60g. However, when we looked at the pro scene we observed most pros using ergo mice are still at 65-77g weight.
You don't need a 50g or 80g mouse, you need a properly weight-balanced mouse. Neither leaning forward nor falling backward.
We've spent months balancing xtro Eris perfectly, trust us this is the optimal weight for this shape.
Apply for xtro Eris trial kit, if you match our criteria we'll send you a demo unit to try out, then you decide to buy brand new or skip till next model release.
But hey, can we create a sub 60g xtro Eris? Yes we can!
Then why didn't we? 3 reasons:
->Compromise in durability for using a thin internal skeleton.
-> Magnets used for quick opening of the shell & click to replace spacers to provide you with clicks of your preferred feeling, magnets take 5-6g themselves.
-> Ergo mice are generally heavier, scroll next section to understand.
However, customer is boss :)
We're working on something secret. Follow our socials to stay updated.
As shared above, Ergo mice are bulky and, therefore, slightly heavier when compared to other ambi mice.
